A sinner cannot be righteous, he can’t be holy… and so if according to the Scriptures, “…ALL have sinned…,” then all need forgiveness regardless of race, nation, people or continent- Romans 3: 23-26. But then if this be the case, ‘that all have sinned’, who then is that person that will receive the promises of the Lord? It is that person who has been blood washed, saved, redeemed and justified and has been cleansed; and there is none in Heaven, beneath the sun and underneath the earth with authority and in a better position to see to it that any desiring to be righteous, be cleansed except Jesus. The Son of God was bruised for our transgressions, rejected, denounced and forsaken of men, yet He bore our iniquities in love so we might be reconciled to the Father; He alone can save us from our wicked nature, making one saved and just before God for He ALONE lived without sin- Romans 5:1. It is by this same Blood through which the believers (blood washed and saved) can overcome that evil one- 1 john 5:4. The righteous are those who have accepted this salvation by faith, justification by faith and sanctification by faith for Christ in a man makes him justified no matter the evil, wickedness and sin committed. This righteousness can only be gotten by faith. I may not know what you have done in your lifetime, but Jesus blood can redeem all sinners from any sin.
Jesus is the Just that justifies the unjust; He is the Saviour who saves all unsaved and His presence in a man also makes him sanctified, redeemed, holy and righteous. His presence in the life of a man makes him an overcomer against sin, satan and flesh; an overcomer against the world and its trials, temptations and persecutions. Self-righteousness is as a filthy rag before the MASTER; so until you are born of God, until you are sanctified by faith, Holy Ghost filled, water baptised and holy, you remain unrighteous. The promises of the Lord are directed towards those who stand for and obey Him; and the wicked one cannot form a weapon against such that will prosper-Isaiah 54:17.
Haven seen who a righteous man is, the question is, are you qualified to receive the blessings of the Lord? The blessings of the Lord are for all who obey Him. One man in the Old Testament became mightier than a nation when he tuned in to the righteousness of his father. That man was Isaac. Isaac yielded to God’s voice during his time and refused to be persuaded away from following the God of his father and so in return God blessed him to an extent that the king of the nation, Gerar, wherein he dwelt desired that he leave them alone as his people were envious of his great possessions- Genesis 26:12-14, 16. God cannot be mocked, for whatsoever a man sows, such will he reap…if he sows in prayer, visitations, help (giving of alms) and evangelism, they will be recorded for him before God and his reward given according to all he sowed- Galatians 6:7. When you also sow your life, keeping your garments pure and spotless from the world, awaiting the Lord’s outpour of blessings and ‘eventually His return’, you will receive according to your works also. All who seek Him shall be showered with righteousness- Hosea10:12. Paul charged the Corinthians that they be not deceived, for none found unrighteous will inherit the Kingdom of God. The righteous is far different from the unrighteous. The righteous are those who though once lived in such a way as seen in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10… they are such who once indulged in the varying wickedness’ of the world; but who now have adhered to the path of verse 11. They possess the Spirit of the Lord as He is the seal on all who belong to the Lord of the Eternal Kingdom. The unrighteous therefore are all those who behave in opposite forms to the ways of the righteous…they live ungodly, giving no due praise to God through their ways, lifestyle, thoughts, acts, attitudes and behaviour. The unrighteous are against God and therefore cannot receive of His promises.
All who will follow God and will live for Him continually are said by the Scriptures to be season less. They shall be as the Cedar of Lebanon which bare fruits no matter the season and even as the Palm trees that produce in the desert… They which have been planted in the House of the Lord shall flourish in His courts-Psalms 92:12-13. They shall also be as trees planted by the rivers of water; bringing forth fruits both in and out of season, because they have meditated upon the laws of the Lord and have done well to keep and obey them-Psalms 1:3. The Lord God is ever ready to provide for, protect, secure, help and deliver all those who trust in Him and such as are called by His name, even all who fear and walk in His ways are blessed- Psalms 128:1-6.
The Lord is faithful and just to uphold those that are for Him…
All the promises of God in Jesus are yea, and in Him, Amen, unto the glory of God…2 Corinthians 1:20
